Cyrus's 4th birthday

Can't believe my little nephew is turning 4 this year. He wanted a Spiderman theme this year. So I went and ordered him a nice Spiderman cake from Natalie Madison's Cake and she amazed me with her work. We were all very happy with the cake. Not only did it look good, it was also delicious.
We had his birthday party at the Pizza Place in Conway. It was almost like Chucky Cheese where kids and adults can play games.

Cyrus was excited about his presents and enjoyed all the love and company that he got on his special day. Happy Birthday to my dear little Cyrus!! We all love you very much!!

First, Istanbul then Delhi, India

Our first stop was Istanbul and it was a bit cold when we landed. It was the longest flight of our journey. So here are just couple shots from the air and of the airport:

I don't know about y'all but I get really excited heading to my destination and still look pretty perky here.
As we landed early morning in Delhi, we went to exchange Rupees, got a local SIM card and hop into a very "luxurious cab" to our hotel in Noida.

Before I go on blogging, I just wanted ya'll to know that some pictures are from my faithful, Samsung phone. So please excuse some blurriness or dark pictures:)
It was so good to see our family again which we haven't seen for so long!! There was so much to catch up...kids, grandkids, business, life. The best time in life is always with the family don't ya think so? Besides that, we made new friends from all over and welcome a new family, the Rajoras. The list just keeps getting better lol...

I hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I enjoyed blogging it:) More to come...

Cheers,
Karen

A Family Reunion in India

Back in 2012, my mom was talking about my little cousin, Gladys was getting married. And so I said, In Aussie? (because Gladys and Abhishek were in Brisbane, Australia) Mom, smiled and said excitedly, "They are getting married in India and I would like you to go with me". Without hesitation, I said yes and thoughts were just streaming through my head about a colorful Indian wedding. I am going to be in a Bollywood wedding!!! OMG! How fun and exciting!!
So we researched about the visa, airfare and read articles about India and it was a year of planning...lol! It helped when Gladys came to the States to visit us and I asked her all about it. What cab to take? Any wifi? How about cell phones? Food? Weather? What was the appropriate color to wear to the wedding? Shopping? And she answered all of the questions ;)
Then when December came, my mom and I were both ready for this vacation. All packed and ready to go. It was about a 25 hour flight with layover in Chicago and Instanbul. And we were so grateful that our flights were on time.
As we were on the plane, I was thinking about how cute those girls were when they were little. Gladys, Clara and Brenda. I would always play and take good care of them when they came for a visit. And Melvin could sing even when he was a little boy. It has been years since I last saw them and also my uncles and aunties. This is going to be a great family reunion too!!

Then,

Melvin

Gladys, Brenda & Clara

And now,

As time flies, the older gets wiser, and the younger one gets smarter!
